Arthur Ashe Davis Cup jacket. Ashe broke ground as the first African American named to the prestigious U.S. Davis Cup Team in 1963, on which he also played from 1965 through 1970, 1975, 1977 and 1978. In 1966 he was named Davis Cup Captain and served in that capacity in 1967, 1971 and 1981. Front of jacket has ''USA'' and ''Arthur Ashe'' patches embroidered; verso has ''Davis Cup'' embroidered. ''Head'' brand navy jacket is sized medium. Near fine condition. With an LOA from Ashe's widow.
