Notorious Depression-era bank robber John Dillinger's death is announced in his hometown newspaper, the 23 July 1934 edition of ''The Indianapolis News.'' The front page headline reads: ''Federal Agents Write Finis to Vivid Crime Career of Dillinger, America's No.1 Bandit''. The articles contain interviews with his grieving father and photos of the convict as a child. Toning and creasing to 22pp. paper, with a vertical slice through lower half, else very good.
