Buffalo Bill autograph letter signed. The Wild West showman signs using his real name, William Cody, and datelines the letter Owensborro, Kentucky, 20 June. Upon the official stationery of his 1908 show, ''Buffalo Bill's Wild West Combined With Pawnee Bill's Great Far East'', he writes in full: ''Dear Barry, The fellow who looks like me never was a scout don't think ever west of the Missouri River only with some show. Thanks for interest...Your friend / W.F. Cody / This man Lavellie never was with me - he can't shoot''. Single-page letter measures 8.25'' x 6.5'' and comes attractively mounted with a photo of the performer to an overall size of 21'' x 12.5''. Two punch holes to left and expected folds; overall in very good condition.
