Archive of Pennsylvania Railroad Company documents signed by every president during its heyday, from 1873-1914. The PRR's profits skyrocketed under the leadership of its third president John Edgar Thomson, who developed it into the the world's biggest company and innovated operations for large-scale business. He signs a mortgage document ''J. Edgar Thompson'' on behalf of the railroad on 6 October 1873. The fourth president signs ''Thomas A. Scott'' to an 1879 real estate document. He served as Lincoln's Assistant Secretary of War before running the PRR. George B. Roberts, the fifth president, signs ''G.B. Roberts'' in early 1880. Sixth president ''Frank Thomson'' signs in 1880. Seventh president Alexander Johnston Cassatt signs ''AJ Casssat'' as PPR president in 1906. ''James McCrea'' signs as eighth PPR president. Ninth president ''Samuel Rea'' signs as assistant to president in 1896, and William Atterbury signs ''WW Atterbury.'' Each document shows some toning and creasing. Very good overall.
