Mother Teresa autograph letter signed, dated 1 February 1971 from Calcutta, India, on Missionaries of Charity letterhead. This extremely rare handwritten letter, addressed to Albert Kelly in Wolverhampton, England reads, ''God love you for your generous gift. I do not know how everyday was full in England -- though I wanted so much to write & thank you. But I am sure you will be happy to hear from India. Our new foundation in Southall [England] seems to be doing well. I hope you will be able to go & see the sisters some day. Kindly pray that we get many fervent vocations. During these days of elections please pray for our people that we will all choose wisely. God bless you / M. Teresa''. The month after this letter was written, the Indian people would hold important general elections in which Indira Gandhi, a champion of social and economic justice for all Indians, won a massive victory. Letter measures 8.25'' x 5.75'' and is in very good condition. With PSA/DNA COA. A seldom seen letter in Mother Teresa's own hand.
