Former Nazi and Hitler favorite, Albert Speer typed letter signed, dated 7 June 1971, with reflective content upon Hitler and the Nazi regime. Speer writes to American acquaintance Elaine Lincoln five years after serving his sentence for war crimes. Letter in German reads in part, ''...Now this piece of work cannot be matched, and it also has an additional background in that Napoleon is positively fundamentally different from Hitler...There are two books written by foreigners that you may find worth reading...Both books successfully try to search and find humanity under awful circumstances as they were found in Hitler's authoritarian system...[signed] Albert Speer''. Letter measures 8.25'' x 11.5''. Some light creasing, chipping and a small soil mark, else very good condition. Original envelope and full translation included.
