Handwritten note on front free endpaper dated 10 November 1946 reads, ''To: F.W. Heath to whose initiative this small volume is due / Montgomery of Alamein Field-Marshal.'' Crimson red linen boards feature gilt lettering. Measures 5.5'' x 8.75.'' Very good plus condition.
