Queen Victoria document signed during her first year as Queen of England. She signs ''Victoria R'' to the top of the patent document. Dated 23 May 1838, document protects George Price of Cornhill's invention for clarifying water and other liquids. A ''One Pound / Ten Shillings'' seal is embossed to the left edge above a London stamp. 3pp. on card-style stationery measures 8'' x 12.5''. Toning and separation to fold intersections, else near fine.
