Wonderful lot of two signed items by astronaut Buzz Aldrin. First is an autograph letter signed by Buzz Aldrin on his Apollo 11 Starcraft Enterprises stationery. Datelined Laguna Beach, 8 November 1995, letter is addressed to ''Dear Collector of Space Memorabilia'' and reads in part: ''...On July 20, 1969 AD, Neil Armstrong and I fulfilled the ancient dreams of mankind and became the first human beings to walk on the surface of the Moon. We represented not only our own great nation, but also served as ambassadors for the human race. Before departing the Moon's Sea of Tranquility, Neil and I left a very special plaque affixed to the footpad of our lunar lander. It reads: 'We came in Peace for All Mankind'. I am pleased personally to autograph this limited edition replica of the original Apollo 11 Lunar Plaque...Buzz Aldrin''. 9'' x 8'' brass plate affixed to 10.5'' x 13'' wooden plaque is signed ''Buzz Aldrin'' and also bears printed signatures of the Apollo 11 astronauts and Richard Nixon. Near fine condition.
