Leland Stanford deed signed as President of the Central Pacific Railroad Company, dated 5 October 1886, and transferring two lots in Nevada County, California to a John M. Thomas and John C. Carter. Deed is accented by two pristine embossed gilt seals, one showing a train against the Sierra Nevada mountains. Document unfolds to a size of 17'' x 14''. Some toning to front of deed, else near fine condition. A pristine document signed by the CPRR entrepreneur, Governor of California and founder of Stanford University.
