Rare first pressing of Led Zeppelin's debut UK album in 1969, featuring ''Led Zeppelin'' in turquoise letters over the Hindenburg explosion. With the Atlantic plum and red record labels, showing the ''Superhype Music'' and ''Jewel Music'' credits, subsequently changed to Warner Bros. First issued in a laminated sleeve, as shown here, and also with original inner sleeve. It's believed that fewer than 2,000 copies of the turquoise album left the plant before the lettering was changed to orange, a last minute decision by the band and their manager Peter Grant. Uncorrected matrix numbers stamped on run-out groove read ''588171 A//1 112'' and ''588171 B//1 93''. Some creasing to album cover, and a few surface scratches to vinyl, causing clicking on a few songs. Overall very good condition.
