Jeremy Irons costume from ''Man in the Iron Mask''. Irons stars as musketeer Aramis d'Herblay in the successful adventure film. Elaborate five-piece ensemble made under the auspices of Academy Award-winning costume designer James Acheson comprises: (1) a heavy brown leather coat vest, featuring eight hook-and-eye closure placket down the front and long sleeves with seven small hook-and-eye closures on each sleeve. Jane Law of Worthington, UK designer's label sewn to lining, plus a label sewn in with Iron's name handwritten, (2) matching brown leather pants in cropped length, also by Jane Law. Fully lined, with pleated front, side pockets, metal button fly. One button is absent, (3) muslin long-sleeved shirt with self-belt, (4) brown leather gloves with self-belting cuffs; unlined, with label inside one reading ''Aramis / double'', (5) heavy coat with bell sleeves in lush velour jacquard in grey-green color. Buttons up the front with four sets of three brown buttons. Costume is housed in MGM logo corrugated box. Quality crafted costume is near fine overall.
