Rare invitation to the 16 February 2006 investiture ceremony of Supreme Court Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. On this day, Alito took the Judicial Oath of Office in the formal investiture ceremony of the Supreme Court, which followed his informal swearing-in earlier that year. Invitation card features an embossed gilt Supreme Court seal at top, and original Supreme Court envelope. Card measures 5.875'' x 4.5''. Small amount of discoloration along right edge, else near fine condition.
