Herbert Hoover signed photo, framed in wood taken from the White House in 1931. Hoover inscribes the photo to Jefferson Myers, Commissioner of the U.S. Shipping Board from 1926-1936, whose typed note on back of frame reads, ''The wood in this frame was removed from the White House, 1931, at Washington, D.C., after being in use One Hundred and Thirty years.'' Photo is signed, ''With Kind Regards of Herbert Hoover''. Matte photo by Harris & Ewing measures approximately 9.5'' x 13.5'', framed to 11.25'' x 15.25''. Not examined out of frame, but appears in very good condition. Frame has some nicks.
