Dated 11 December 1940 on her personal stationery, letter reads in full, ''Dear Mr. Farrans, It has made me very happy to receive your contribution in answer to my appeal for help to Spain's little refugees. Please accept my thanks on their behalf as a token of gratitude for helping to save them from pitiful desolation. [signed in pencil] Helen Keller''. Single-page letter measures 10.74'' x 7.25''. Creasing and a tiny stain to left margin. Near fine.
