Harry Houdini autograph note signed, with a clever idiom penned by the famous magician. Houdini writes in black fountain pen, ''My Brain is the Key that sets me free / Houdini / June 28 / [19]23'', referencing his elaborate and key-less escape tricks. Houdini's wife also signs the slip, ''(Me too / Beatrice Houdini)''. Slip measures approximately 4.625'' x 4.125'', irregularly trimmed. With photo of Houdini and his wife taped along top edge. Light creasing, overall in very good plus condition with bold handwriting.

An accompanying provenance slip reads, ''This page was removed from album that was used for autographs upon graduating from elementary school on June 28, 1923. Houdini and wife were residents at a brownstone house at 278 West 113th St - near 8th Avenue in Harlem, New York City. At this time I resided at 2081 - 8th Avenue - near 113th St. and graduated from P.S. 10, at 117th St and St. Nicholas Ave. D. Gould''.
