Interesting Georgia O'Keeffe autograph letter signed, written to the husband of O'Keeffe's niece, Barbara June O'Keeffe Sebring. In this letter, dated 28 November 1960 from Abiqui, New Mexico, O'Keeffe responds to a letter from Frank Sebring, reading in full, ''Tomorrow I will be home a week but it always takes a few days to collect myself ~ / In answer to your letter of the 18th, I must say that for me it was a pleasure to see you and June and in some odd way her face haunts me. I was very fond of her father ~ liked him better than most of my family. She doesn't look a bit like him ~ It was the expressions on her face that bothered me and I don't know why. / About the drawings you embarrass me ~ They are $1,000 a piece but I would hate to take the money from you and I can not give them to you. / I have no idea what you have in mind spending ~ or what you can afford to spend. / You might tell me, this way I can see what I can do ~ / Sincerely / Georgia O'Keeffe-''. Two page letter on two sheets of translucent paper measures 8.5'' x 11''. Folds, and small strips of mounting tape on verso, otherwise near fine condition.
