Autograph letter signed by George Sand, the author and iconoclast whose romantic exploits matched her literary reputation in 19th century Paris. Addressed on the accompanying envelope to her physician, Dr. Henri Favre, Sand writes in French regarding a number of topics, including an interesting passage on writing a preface for ''the mysterious author of Synedise'', a five-act drama released in 1871 by Adam Stevarn. Signed ''G. Sand'' at the conclusion. Datelined Nohant, 20 June, with cover also postmarked 20 June 1872. Three page letter on card style stationery measures 5.25'' x 8''. Folds, else near fine. With French transcription.
