Frank Lloyd Wrigt typed letter signed, dated 12 January 1955. On his Taliesin West stationery, Wright sends a missive to his San Francisco representative, Aaron Green, writing, ''Dear Aaron: As usual - worth having. All our best to you both.'' He then handwrites, ''Am glad Getrude is at rest - ''. Wright refers to Gertrude Pauson, Green's sister-in-law and also the sister of Rose Pauson, for whom Wright built a house.

The body of Wright's letter refers to the Los Altos Civic Center, a project Wright deemed as ''worth having.'' This letter accompanies two dozen pages of letters regarding the project which, despite Wright traveling to the San Francisco suburb in 1954, didn't come to fruition. This archive documents the possibility of Wright designing the Civic Center, however, and includes a letter from the Los Altos Mayor, dated 15 July 1955 to Wright, reading in part, ''On a recently acquired ten acre Civic Center site, the City of Los Altos is planning to construct a City Hall and Police Station in the immediate future. Ultimate development will probably include a Community Center, Youth Center, Art Center, and Library...The City is desirous of obtaining an architectural layout for the entire site to insure that there will be sufficient guidance to provide in the future for a harmonious development of the whole...If your firm is interested in doing this work...''

The other documents include lengthy retained letters from Green to Wright, outlining the Los Altos Civic Center project in detail, such as a 12 page letter dated 10 January 1955 with analysis of the project's location, site, use, space requirements and other factors. Wright's letter measures 11'' x 8.5'', in near fine condition. Entire lot is in very good plus condition.
