Early concept art for Ridley Scott's ''Alien'', the classic 1979 sci-fi horror film featuring the character ''Ripley'', who is here shown navigating the zero gravity corridors of the Nostromo spaceship. Notations on sheet read, ''Ripley hangs from short harness'' and ''Suggested Shot Ripley moving through ship. Travelling Matte. / - Ripley hangs from full site traveller on rail / - Tunnel and background - Miniature''. Artwork was done in 1977, signed ''Scott'' at bottom, possibly by Ridley Scott, but more likely Elliot Scott, a Hollywood production designer. Artwork is rendered in pen and marker in colors of brown, black and yellow on lightweight artist paper. Measures 15'' x 9.5''. Light creasing and chip to upper right margin, else near fine. From the collection of former 20th Century Fox executive Peter Beale, whose COA accompanies the lot.
