Dating his letter simply 28 November [1944 from Gueux, France] he writes in full, ''My darling - Just one line - I'm starting on an extended trip, by auto, in 30 minutes. Yesterday I sent you a teletype. I'm truly sorry if I've let my letters lately reflect any impatience with your messages - I really do know how upset & ill you've been. Anyway, I love you heaps - if you'll just remember that, we wouldn't have any trouble understanding what we mean when our letters sound strange. Had a note from Pupah. Please tell him I'll write when I can. Loads & loads of love, always. Your / Ike''. Single-page letter on ruled stationery measures 8'' x 10.25''.
