Cricket bat signed by the famous Australian cricket team of 1948, nicknamed ''The Invincibles''. The team is famous for being the first to play ''test cricket'' for an entire tour of England without losing a match; test cricket is considered the most rigorous type of cricket competition. Only signature missing from the bat is Sid Barnes, who disliked giving autographs. Names include, from top to bottom: Don Bradman (Captain), Neil Harvey, Ian Johnston, Ray Lindwall, Sam Loxton, Colin McCool, Keith Miller, Ernie Toshack, Keith Johnson (Manager), Ron Hamence, Ron Saggers, Don Tallon, Bill Brown, Lindsay Hassett (Vice Captain), Arthur Morris and Doug Ring. Measures 34''. Handle and top of bat have been restored. Very good condition.
