Charles Darwin letter signed, dated 16 March 1867. Upon stationery embossed with his home address in Down Bromley Kent, Darwin writes to his financial advisor George Moultrie Salt, son of Thomas Salt and partner in the firm Salt & Sons. Letter reads in full, ''Dear Sir / I am much obliged for your note & return the paper signed. When you receive the money will you be so good as to place it to my acct at the Union Bank (Charing Cross Branch). Dear Sir / yours very faithfully / Ch. Darwin''. Single page measures 5'' x 8''. Small hole at center, folds and light wear, overall very good condition with a large, bold signature by Darwin.
