Charles Schulz hand drawing of Snoopy, commissioned for an event in Santa Rosa, California, where Schulz made his home and in 1969, opened the Redwood Empire Ice Arena. Snoopy here wears a winter hat and carries a hockey stick over his shoulder with a sign bearing applied text that reads, "Santa Rosa / Junior Hockey / Club". A 1958 copyright tag appears at bottom, indicating the drawing may have appeared in one of the earlier "Peanuts" books. Drawing is matted atop a copy of Snoopy holding a hockey stick with a large label, "Santa Rosa / Senior / Olympics". Entire mat measures 11" x 19". Near fine.
