Carl Jung signed brochure titled ''Satan'', exploring the psychological construct of an evil entity. At the top of the brochure Jung writes in fountain pen, ''Here comes the competition! Best regards, / C.G. J.'' Jung is referring to the fact that his mentee, Dr. Rivkah Scharf Kluger, to whom this was given, had previously written an article about the psychological meaning of Satan. Jung also underlines a line in the brochure quoting him, adding a question mark in the margin. Four page brochure measures 6'' x 4.75 as folded. Fold and light creasing, overall near fine. Accompanied by original mailing envelope, postmarked from Schmerikon, Switzerland on 24 September 1948.
