Photo album of stills from "Shane", gifted to Van Heflin by George Stevens. Heflin stars alongside Alan Ladd as the husband of Jean Arthur's character and father of Brandon deWilde in the 1953 film widely considered one of the greatest Westerns ever made. Book contains 30 excellent black and white photos from the film, each measuring 7.25" x 9.25" and featuring a matte finish. Bound in a brick red leather binder with gilt lettering on the front cover reading in full, "SHANE / A Photo Record / Presented To / Van Heflin / By / George Stevens". Binder measures 9.25" x 10". Wear to exterior edges, cracking to hinges repaired with tape, and minor silvering and toning to some photos, else near fine. Consigned by Van Heflin's son.
