Antonio Banderas hero costume and publicity photo signed from ''The Mask of Zorro''. All-black costume comprises: (1) bishop sleeve blouse with a two button placket, (2) cape with leather scrolling design across the top and back, (3) suede button-fly tight-fitting cropped trousers in size 32 x 25, (4) studded tooled leather belt measuring 38'' x 3.5'', (5) pair of leather gauntlet gloves that extend halfway up the forearm, (6) tall, belted hand-tooled leather cowboy boots measuring 12'' from heel to toe and (7) the piece de resistance, the mask. Mask is made of leather, affixed to a woven cloth sash with a thin maroon stripe and crocheted ends that culminate in fringed tassels. Measures 70'' from end to end. Accompanied by a glossy 8'' x 10'' color photo of Banderas dressed in the costume as Zorro, signed, ''Antonio Banderas'' in black felt tip. Original jeweled chain is absent from cape, wear to gloves and some showthrough of adhesive from leather mask to its cloth overlay, else entire lot including photo is near fine. With provenance from Profiles in History's 2005 Hollywood auction.
