Letter signed by Amschel Mayer Rothschild, the eldest son of Rothschild founder Mayer Amschel Rothschild, who continued his father's banking dynasty into the 19th century. Dated 1839, untranslated letter in German is signed ''AM Rothschild'' at conclusion. Single page letter measures 9'' x 10.75'' on bifolium paper. Horizontal cut to paper .75'' above bottom edge, some toning, single fold and mounting remnants to verso. Very good condition.
