Academy Award nomination certificate. Bruce Stambler is here nominated for outstanding achievement in 1996 for sound effects editing on the movie ''The Ghost and the Darkness.'' Stambler won the Oscar at the 1997 ceremony. The film was based on the true story of a pair of man-eating lions in Kenya at the turn of the 19th century. Certificate is signed by Arthur Hiller as President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Accompanied by a 10.5'' x 12.25'' one-sheet from the movie featuring its stars Val Kilmer and Michael Douglas. Measures 8.75'' x 11''. Adhesive to verso around edges, else near fine.
