''Tom and Jerry'' animation cels of the eponymous characters, as well as Butch Cat, screen-used in the 1954 short ''Baby Butch''. Disguised as an innocent baby, Butch Cat has infiltrated himself into Tom and Jerry's home, in order to steal the ham, and hides in the refrigerator here. Cels and background measure 11.5'' x 8.75'', in the original frame measuring 16.75'' x 14.75''. Signed on the mat by producer Fred Quimby, who ran the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer animation studio, ''To Steve Schneider: Who helped his mother give us a swell ice box luncheon, Sincerely - Tom and Jerry Quimby''. Cels remain very well preserved, with a bit of cracking upon magnification. Very good plus condition.
