Dated 21 September 1937 on letterhead from Seznick's company, Selznick International Pictures, Inc., he writes about the actor Jack Carson for an unidentified role in the film, ''I would appreciate your having Charlie Richards secure for you some film of this man and running it to see whether he has any possibilities. / DOS''. Charlie Richards worked on casting for ''Gone With the Wind''. Memo measures 8.5'' x 5.5'' with some pencil shorthand writing at bottom. Fold, else near fine.
