Pristine Emmy Nomination for Marlena Laird's direction of the hit ABC soap ''General Hospital'' for the 1980-81 season, which she won. Nomination reads in part: ''The National Academy of Arts and Sciences Honors Marlena Laird...Nominated for Outstanding Direction For a Daytime Drama Series...'' Laird has won twice and been nominated five times in the Daytime Emmy category of Outstanding Direction. She is also a DGA award winner and was the youngest woman ever to direct a television movie. Inlaid in a wooden plaque with gilt trim and a high-gloss finish. Measures 11'' x 13''. Near fine condition.
