H.A. Rey signed first edition, later printing of ''Curious George'', the first of the ''Original Adventures''. Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1941. Inscribed on the title page in blue pen: ''To Margaret and Peter / from their (old) friend / H.A. Rey / Chappaqua, April 19, 1963''. Bound in red cloth without the dust jacket, fully illustrated book contains 52 pages. This is a later printing of the first edition, without the year listed on the title page but also without additional printings listed on the copyright page. Measures 8.5'' x 10.5''. Minor fading to cover, spots of black ink, 4.5'' tear to first page and stickers from original owner on ownership page. Overall very good condition with interior fully attached. Rare signature.
