Winston Churchill free frank signed, postmarked 11 March 1908 when Churchill, at only 33 years of age, served as Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies. Addressed in Churchill's hand to the Reverend J. Wales Cameron of Edinburgh University, envelope is signed ''W.S. Churchill'' at lower left. Envelope measures 9.25'' x 4'', with blindstamp of the Colonial Office on verso. Previously torn envelope has been mended with Japanese tissue. Signature a tad light, overall very good condition.
