Chief Justice William Taft typed letter signed to Edward Bok, on Supreme Court stationery dated 11 June 1923. Written seven years before both men's respective deaths in 1930, Taft thanks Bok ''...for sending me your life of Mr. Curtis. I am taking it with me to Murray Bay to read and enjoy...'' Taft also observes, ''I suppose you are as active as your kind of a man of leisure usually is...'' He closes with regards to Mrs. Bok. 1pp. measures 5.75'' x 7.75''. Chipping and a small .5'' tear along right-hand edge, else very good condition.
