Walt Disney signed display of Bambi and Thumper cels, used in the 1942 classic film, with a hand-painted background. Boldly signed by Disney in green wax crayon on the mat, inscribed ''To John M. Lore / With Best Wishes / Walt Disney''. ''Original WDP [Walt Disney Productions]'' stamp appears above Disney's signature. Artwork has shifted, but image area measures 9'' x 8'', framed to 17.5'' x 17''. Significant flaking to outermost layer of celluloid, although cels of Bambi and Thumper appear largely intact. Cel artwork would benefit from restoration; mat has some abrasions at bottom and light uniform toning. Paper has been removed from back of frame, so it's unknown whether this is a Courvoisier piece.
