Vint Cerf signed sketch of the ''Internet Protocol Hierarchy'', the mechanism for transporting data through the revolutionary communication network that he helped invent, thereby earning the title of founding father of the Internet. Along with Bob Kahn, Cerf won the Turing Award in 2004, the highest achievement in computer science. Sketch shows the basic communication structure of the Internet: packets of information traveling through transport protocols, then internet protocols and then the link protocols that deliver the data. Sketch measures 10'' x 8'', completed by Cerf in black felt-tip. Near fine condition.
