Iconic disco group Village People's plaque from receiving their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Village People have sold over 100 million records worldwide with 3 platinum albums and 3 gold singles. Plaque features a miniature of the star mounted to a black velvet backing. Beneath, an engraved plaque names the band and cites 12 September 2008 as the date the star was placed at its location at 6529 Hollywood Blvd. Official Hollywood Chamber of Commerce sticker to verso. Measures 10'' x 16.5''. Frame is pulling apart slightly at bottom left corner, otherwise near fine condition. Consigned by Village People member Felipe Rose, and with an LOA from him.
