Tiepin featuring the royal cypher of George V as The Prince of Wales. Enamel cypher features his initial ''G'' in blue enamel, intertwined with white Prince of Wales feathers, topped with a red and gold crown and flanked with a red banner bearing the Prince of Wales motto, ''Ich Dien'', German for ''I serve''. Intricate cypher on a pearlescent silver base is topped with a dome of crystal or glass. Pin measures 2.75'' in length and 0.5'' across the decoration. Fastener is absent, else near fine. Provenance from Sotheby's auction of The Jewels of the Duchess of Windsor, held in Geneva on 3 April 1987, lot 178.
