Theodore Roosevelt bronze plaquette, circa 1907, by pre-eminent coin designers Barber & Morgan. Front shows a profile bust of Roosevelt, reading ''Theodore Roosevelt / President of the United States''. Reverse depicts Roosevelt's ''Great White Fleet'' leaving Hampton Roads, Virginia; the U.S. battleship fleet was dispatched by Roosevelt on 16 December 1907 to display American naval power to the rest of the world. With maker's mark ''BARBER'' on front and ''MORGAN'' on reverse. Plaquette measures 3.125'' x 2.375''. Near fine condition.
