Rare booklet from the Statue of Liberty dedication ceremony, an exclusive event attended by President Grover Cleveland and other dignitaries on 28 October 1886. Booklet is the oration by host Chauncey M. Depew, which closed the official dedication and unveiling. Measures 6'' x 9.125'' and runs 34pp. with a frontispiece portrait of the Statue. Stapled at left edge, with deckled edges. Top pages are uncut as issued. Stamp on front cover, ''Compliments of Chauncey M. Depew''. Some browning, small tears and a few pages detached from lower staple. Very good condition.
