Laurel writes to a Bill Brown on 12 July 1963, answering a variety of questions about the Laurel & Hardy films, as well an animated cartoon series, etc. In small part, ''...I think this scene climbing the lamp pole - 'Wet Paint' sign was from a film called 'Habeas Corpus' an early silent...The Street Musicians - shin kicking & pulling pants off was out of 'You're Darn Tootin'...Yes, I have seen the color print of L&H wax figures - the likeness of me is very bad, it looks like John L. Sullivan in his corner & Hardy looks like the manager-trainer!...[signed] Stan.'' 7.25'' x 10.5'' letter is on stationery of the Oceana Apartment Hotel, where Laurel lived in his retirement. Folds, else near fine. With original envelope.
