Samuel L. Warner award, given to Charles C. Davis for ''Meritorious Achievement in Sound Motion Picture Engineering''. 14K gold medallion shows the bust of Sam Warner in relief with beautiful star-studded artwork on the reverse. One of the original Warner Brothers who founded the studio, Sam Warner pioneered the use of sound in early motion pictures, memorialized by this award from The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers. Medallion was presented to audio engineer Charles C. Davis in 1956. Medallion measures 2.25'' in diameter and weighs approximately 115 grams. Accompanied by metal display. Near fine condition.
