Sam Houston land grant signed as Governor of Tennessee, granting 100 acres at one cent per acre in Bledsoe County. Signed on 4 March 1828 by Sam Houston at bottom, with an exceptionally large signature. Document measures 11.5'' x 15.25'', with red wax-based paper seal at top left. Creasing and folds, including one through signature, and paper loss along folds. Overall in fair to good condition.
