Decorative pillbox from the personal collection of President Ronald and Nancy Reagan, owned and used by them in the Presidential years at the Family Residence in the White House and then at their Bel Air, California home. Porcelain and enamel box has a hinged top decorated with roses surrounding two girls in 19th century attire. Body of box is a rose color with gold trim. A photo of the Reagans in their bedroom at the White House prominently shows the pillboxes on the side table where this box was likely displayed. Upon leaving the White House, the Reagans marked their possessions with a green sticker to designate which of their belongings had been displayed with them during their Presidential years; this box has this round green sticker on its underside. Box was originally sold at Christie's in New York, and can be seen displayed of the Reagans' Bel Air home in this video at the 2:51 mark: http://www.christies.com/features/Inside-the-home-of-a-President-Reagan-and-his-First-Lady-7533-3.aspx. Measures 1.75'' in diameter and 1'' high. With Christie's sticker, in near fine condition.
