Bob Keeshan's personally owned mementos from the 1958 Peabody Award ceremony, which saw a win by Captain Kangaroo. Prestigious Peabody award recognizes the most distinguished public service rendered each year in radio and television. Five item lot includes: (1) letter of congratulations informing Keeshan he won; (2) program from the event listing Captain Kangaroo as winner of the Television Youth & Children's Program; (3) table card for award's luncheon at the Hotel Roosevelt; (4) typed signed letter from Frank Stanton, President of CBS, on CBS stationery congratulating Keeshan for winning. Includes CBS printed envelope; (5) letter from the award's organizer congratulating Keeshan. Creasing to program and tear to envelope, else near fine.
