Original Robert Indiana signed ''LOVE'' sketch, completed in pencil on paper measuring 6'' x 9.375''. Also signed ''LOVE / R.I.'' on verso. Designed in 1964 by Indiana, ''LOVE'' was selected by the Museum of Modern Art for its 1965 Christmas card. The response was overwhelming, and his card became the most popular and profitable in the Museum's history. Irregularly trimmed with light creasing and soiling, overall very good plus condition.
