Original Robert Indiana signed ''LOVE'' artwork, completed in wax pastels and pen. Perhaps the most iconic artwork of the pop art movement, ''LOVE'' is now one of the most popular symbols the world over. While the word LOVE symbolized the theme of the 1960s, its slant of the ''O'' and two part design hinted at the complexity of its expression in the real world. Signed ''R.I'' at lower right, artwork measures approximately 6'' x 6'' on a 8.5'' x 11'' sheet. With Indiana's stamp at lower right. Accompanied by three color swatches of blue, red and orange, each with Indiana's stamp on verso and ''LOVE'' handwritten. Staple puncture at upper left, able to be framed out, overall near fine.
