River Phoenix screen-worn jacket from director Gus Van Sant's 1991 film, ''My Own Private Idaho.'' Phoenix's performance, before his tragic death at the age of 23, was critically acclaimed and won him both a Volpi Cup award at the Venice Film Festival and an Independent Spirit Award. Phoenix wore this rust-colored thick cotton canvas jacket as ''Mike,'' the rough and tumble street hustler played opposite Keanu Reeves. Jacket features a patch on the upper left arm measuring 4'' and is lined in a tan-colored fabric. Near fine. Includes LOA from Laurie Parker, the producer of ''My Own Private Idaho.''
