Richard Nixon signed ''Six Crises.'' Doubleday & Co., Inc.: New York: 1962. The only President to resign from office inscribes the fly-leaf: ''To Rodney Rasser / with best wishes / from / Richard Nixon'' in black ink. Nixon here recounts the half dozen landmark events that characterized his political career before he was ever elected President, including the Hiss case and the communist riot that almost killed him in Caracas, Venezuela. Measures 6.25'' x 9.5'' and runs 460pp. Bound in grey cloth boards with blue print and gilt lettering. Small stain to upper right of front board and minor edge wear, else near fine. Dustjacket has a prior owner's ink notation to the front flap and shows shelf wear, else near fine.
